In Marseille, Tareq, a young Algerian immigrant, confronts his greatest fear: diving from the towering cliffs of the calanques into the sea. Accompanied by his friends and a mysterious ball, he is swept into a poetic adventure through the sunlit heart of the city. Along the way, courage, friendship, and the search for belonging draw him ever closer to taking the leap.

Marseille is co-directed by Wassim Bekhtaoui, Romeo Costa, Lea Beraud, Yanis Graca, Bryan Kacioui, and Loubna Khider. Raised in the suburbs of Paris, Wassim moved from scientific studies to animation, where his interests in writing, music, and drawing converged. Romeo began exploring 3D at 13 before working freelance and joining the École des Nouvelles Images. Lea transitioned from digital design to 3D animation to pursue her childhood dream of creating images and stories. Yanis and Bryan, both raised in Marseille in immigrant families, bring a deeply personal connection to the city and its cultural identity. Loubna combines a scientific outlook with a background in music and design. Together, the six filmmakers unite creativity, technical craft, and personal experience through animation.
