Big Dreams
In 1998 Nagano, after the Czech ice hockey team’s victory, young Dom dreams of playing hockey but lacks the means. With his friend’s help, Dom forms a ball hockey team, the “Sabres,” to compete against the Red Wings and earn respect. Guided by the eccentric coach Karel, the Sabres face challenges but strive for revenge and recognition.

Dan Panek was born in 1988, and he is a filmmaker and screenwriter who made his debut with the independent film Taxi 121 in 2016. He gained recognition for the 2019 web series Behind the Curtain. Co-founder of Visual Riders s.r.o., Panek also directs commercials, including the KVIFF spot for Progresus Invest Holding Company. In February 2023, he released his second feature (Big Dreams), a family sports comedy. Self-taught, Panek focuses on family films, screenwriting, and book writing.
