Shadow of Star
A short film of two teenage identical twins. One of the twins, who is physically weaker, struggles with being constantly compared and judged by those around her. Overwhelmed by her situation, she wishes to escape the constant attention and find her own way. As she deals with these challenges, the film explores her journey toward self-acceptance and independence.

Mitra Raeesmohammadi is an Iranian writer, director, producer, and editor with a strong background in filmmaking. She began her career with her first short film, Painting (2019), followed by Sweet Taste of Darkness (2021), both of which won international awards. Her latest film, Shadow of Star, was released in 2024. Mitra has served as a jury member for the FFTG AWARDS Film Festival for two consecutive years. She studied cinema at the Iran Youth Cinema Society (IYCS) and Bamdad International House and is currently a cinema student.
