Seven Waves
The Seven Waves is a testimony of love dedicated to the sea of Gaza, its stories, myths, and heroes. In two parallel timelines, the film follows the journey of a Palestinian rowing champion striving to achieve her dream and the story of a fisherman and marine rescuer who has spent his life by the Gaza Sea. Inspired by a popular myth in Gaza, The Seven Waves weaves together stories and dreams of a besieged sea, filled with life and hope. This film was produced before the ongoing genocide in Gaza.

Asma Bseiso is an award-winning filmmaker, media consultant, and trainer who began her career in 2007. She trained in documentary filmmaking at George Washington University and the University of Southern California. Her documentary “I Am Gaza” was featured at international festivals, including the Malmö Film Festival. She has collaborated with TV networks and NGOs, and in 2021, she traveled to Gaza for workshops and produced her new film, “The Seven Waves.”.
