Synopsis:

The film is set in Palestine and follows the story of Basem, a teacher who endures a profound personal tragedy when he loses his son in a tragic accident. His life takes an unexpected turn as he forms a close bond with his student, Adam. The narrative unfolds as a human drama embedded within a complex political backdrop. Farah Nabulsi is an Academy Award-nominated and BAFTA award-winning Palestinian British filmmaker. In 2016 she started working in the film industry as a writer & producer of short fiction films. This includes “Today They Took My Son,” endorsed by British Director Ken Loach and screened at the United Nations.
