Director Details
Ahd Kamel is an award-winning Saudi actress and filmmaker from Jeddah. Known for Wadjda (2014), Collateral (2018), and the Hollywood movie, All the Old Knives (2022), she studied Animation & Communication at Parsons and Directing at NYFA and trained in acting under William Esper. Ahd wrote, directed, and starred in The Shoemaker (2009) and Sanctity (2012), the first Saudi film at Berlinale. In 2019, she was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum.
