Deep in the mountains, a young roe deer gazes longingly at a distant shooting star. Defying the warnings of those around, it sets off to find it. Lost yet undeterred, and guided by mysterious crows, it continues its quest. Will the little roe deer ever reach the star it dreams of?

Chae-min Le, Ha-jung Lee, and Su-min Hong are young Korean filmmakers who first collaborated while in the 10th grade, creating a short animation together. Their shared passion for storytelling grew into a creative partnership, and “To The Lactea” marks their first official co-directed film, reflecting their collective vision and emerging voices in Korean animation.
