Akiko is not like other girls. Her imagination reaches beyond the limits of the world around her, and her unusual perspective often puts her in difficult situations. This does not make her a favorite in class, especially with her teacher. Tensions rise when Akiko interprets the theme of Winter Magic in an unexpected way during the art lesson.
Director Details
Damir Romanov is a Serbian film director and PhD candidate at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, Belgrade. He co-founded the NGO Edukativno-Naucna Filmska Mreza and has directed several short live-action films and documentaries. His film Pulse screened at numerous festivals in Serbia and abroad, winning Best Story at the Festival of Serbian Fantastic Film. He also directed Graveyard Stories in the omnibus October, awarded Best Film at the same festival and Best Serbian Film at Hrizantema. I Am Akiko marks his first animated short.
