Synopsis

Bordeaux, 1987. On Christmas Eve, five-year-old Linda, nine-year-old Biram, and their older brother Roger live far from their mother, who remained in Gabon. When Roger leaves for a weekend escape, the younger siblings are left on their own. As they encounter snow for the first time, wonder turns to risk, and a quiet night becomes a fragile adventure between innocence and danger.

Director Details

Linda Lô is a French-Senegalese director, born in 1982 and raised by her brothers in Bordeaux, France. A graduate of Sciences Po Paris – School of International Affairs, she lived in Rio de Janeiro and Dakar before working with the United Nations in New York. Her creative journey began after a transformative experience at NYU Tisch School. Based in Paris, she has worked as a screenwriter for several years, focusing on themes of childhood, migration, and geopolitics. We Had Fun marks her directorial debut.
