Vasya, a seven-year-old girl, slips away from the countryside house with her grandfather without her parents knowing. As the journey unfolds, she notices him telling strange stories as if they were real. What began as a simple escape turns into a tender journey, as Vasya gradually discovers that her grandfather is mentally ill. Sasha Gromova is a filmmaker whose journey began at the age of seven, when she directed and starred in her first horror film using her mother’s home video camera. Starting out in acting, she soon discovered her true passion behind the camera and went on to study directing at the Moscow Film School. Her background in performance continues to shape her work, with a strong focus on guiding actors and crafting emotionally authentic scenes.
