Sun-ah, a first-year high school student, serves as a peer helper to her classmate So-hee, who lives with a brain lesion. When Sun-ah is selected as a model student by the Department of Education, she basks in a moment of pride and recognition. But the honor is short-lived, as the challenges of supporting So-hee begin to weigh heavily on her—testing not only her patience, but the very ideals that earned her the spotlight.
Director Details
Hobeom Park is a South Korean filmmaker, born in 1997. He graduated in Film Art from Soongsil University. His short film Life of Dongwoo (2022) was screened at several international festivals, including Kyoto, Jogja-NETPAC, and the Diaspora Film Festival. It received the Semi Grand Prix at the 2024 Kyoto International Student Film & Video Festival and Best Actor at the Diversity Film Festival. In 2024, he released his second short film, The Good Student.
