Zaaghi, a little girl claiming to have come from the depths of the sea, gets into a taxi and asks the driver to take her to a big party organized by children at the easternmost point of the city, at the end of its darkest alley.
Director Details
Sepide Berenji was born in 1992, in Tehran. She holds a BA in Persian Literature from the University of Tehran and an MA in Cinema from Tehran University of Art. She began her artistic journey as a poet and fiction writer, with works published in leading Iranian literary magazines. Her first professional short film, Raya, earned both national and international acclaim. Zaaghi is her second short. In addition to teaching literature and filmmaking across age groups, she serves as CEO of Maajara Film School and develops educational projects in cinema and the arts.
