The film follows a boy and his father living in a small house on the edge of the steppes. The boy is confined to a wheelchair, unable even to lift a spoon, while his father teeters on the brink of despair. One day, they watch the landing of a state-of-the-art robot on Mars on television — an event that rekindles hope and determination in the father. This story is a tribute to all the fathers who refuse to give up.
