Rules Of Film Categories

Child & Youth made Film

1. The film should be directed by school students up to 18 years old.
2. It is open for all nationalities.
3. The film should be short live action, short animation, or short documentary.

Student’s Film

1. The film should be directed by college/university’s student.
2. Student/director age should not exceed 25 years old (when the film was produced).
3. It is open for all nationalities.
4. The film should be short live action, short animation, or short documentary.

Arabic Short Film

1. The film should be directed by an Arabic filmmaker.
2. The film should be a short live action.
3. The filmmaker’s age should be above 18.

Int. Short Film

1. It is open for all nationalities, except for Arab filmmakers.
2. The film should be short live action.
3. The filmmaker’s age should be above 18 years old.

Short Animation Film

1. It is open for all nationalities.
2. The filmmaker’s age should be above 18 years old.

Animated Feature Film

1. It is open for all nationalities.
2. The filmmaker’s age should be above 18 years old.

Documentary Film

1. It is open for all nationalities.
2. The filmmaker’s age should be above 18 years old.

شروط فئات الأفلام

فيلم من صنع الأطفال و اليافعين

1. يجب أن يكون الفيلم من إخراج و صنع أطفال و يافعين إلى 18 سنة.
2. مفتوح لكل الجنسيات.
3. يجب ان يكون الفيلم روائي قصير، رسوم متحركة قصير، أو وثائقي قصير.

فيلم من صنع الطلبة (طلبة الجامعات)

1. يجب أن يكون الفيلم من إخراج طلبة الجامعات و الكليات.
2. مفتوح لكل الجنسيات.
3. يجب ان يكون الفيلم روائي قصير، رسوم متحركة قصير، أو وثائقي قصير.
4. عمر الطالب/ مخرج الفيلم يجب أن لا يتعدى الـ 25 سنة (في سنة إنتاج الفيلم)

فيلم عربي روائي قصير

1. يجب أن يكون الفيلم من صنع مخرج أفلام عربي.
2. يجب ان يكون الفيلم المقدم تحت هذه الفئة فيلم روائي قصير
3. يجب أن يكون عمر المخرج فوق الـ 18 سنة.

فيلم روائي دولي قصير

1. مفتوح لجيمع الجنسيات ما عدا المخرجين العرب.
2. يجب ان يكون فيلم روائي قصير.
3. يجب أن يكون عمر المخرج فوق الـ 18 سنة.

فيلم رسوم متحركة قصير

1. مفتوح لجميع الجنسيات.

This includes music and sound effects included in work. He/she guarantees that no rights of third parties are violated by the material used in the film or other sample of work submitted. 3) The Sharjah International Film Festival (For Children & Youth) is not liable for any loss or damage. We will only be responsible for the films which reach to us in good form, without any damage in the mail. 4) The submitted work will not be returned and your entry will be part of the Sharjah International Film Festival (For children & Youth) archives. IMPORTANT NOTES Be aware that the copy you send should not be work in progress or contain watermarks such as “Promotional Copy.” The Festival Directorate reserves the right to exclude films which are not in conformity with aims of the Festival. 1) In submitting film(s) to the 12th Sharjah International Film Festival (for Children & Youth) 2025, the filmmaker agrees that the film, if selected may be screened at the festival and be used for publicity and promotional uses by the festival.
