Title:Chun Tae – IL: A Flame That Lives On

A compelling drama about the life of Jeon Tae-il, a beautiful young man who became a symbol of the Korean labor movement and a beacon of hope for workers' rights. When Taeil is employed as a tailor's helper, he aspires to become a full-fledged tailor so that he can support his family financially. However, he is frequently reminded of the employees' poor working circumstances. Finally, the youthful 22-year-old resolves to face the truth and become the torch of hope himself.

Jun-Pyo Hong

Jun-Pyo Hong was born in 1985. He studied animation at Korea National University of Arts, School of Film, TV& Multimedia. His first short animation directed in 2012, won the ‘First Flight Prize’ at the Korea Independent Animation Film Festival. He subsequently opened ‘Studio Roomer’ in 2013 with a group of talented and creative artists. He explains his experience of direction, “It was personally quite appealing to me to be able to create an image of Chun Taeil and Seoul during the late 60s to the early 70s”.
