Title:Sound of Feathers
Inspired by the Bahraini artist Mohammed Bin Faris and his talent of discovering “The Art of Sound”, it is a journey about Oud and Art of Sound artists. In the quest to facilitate this art form to the newer generation through traditional music, and dance forms, the movie takes us through barriers of not using the mic (that may take souls) and the use of radio that clinched society into shackles. However, this keepsake art is grabbing eyes and helping Bahraini artists break chains one-step-at-a-time.

Maryam Abdulghaffar
Maryam Abdulghaffar picked up her first camera at the age of 9 years old and remained attached to it ever since. Her passion for photography landed her some unique opportunities to showcase her work and be part of some exciting projects. She completed her Bachelor’s degree at the University of Toledo (USA) (2009-2013). Maryam won an award for the Best Short Documentary 1st Monthly Film Festival in 2022. She received international award from “Chromatic Award” with honors twice. She also received an honorable mention in Food Photography category in 2020 and Fashion Photography in 2021.
